 Will you be playing the New Year in on your Concertina? I was just wondered how many of you will actually be playing as opposed to just drinking your way into the New Year? Of course, I'm sure many of you will be doing both at the same time. One of the few multitasks us men can handle with aplomb!  Anyway, just for the record, our ballad group will be playing the new year in at a private do in the Bushmills Inn, in you guessed it Bushmills, just doon the road frae the Distillery!  As well as the usual Guitar & Bodhran, we will also be sporting Fiddle, Northumbrian Pipes, Scottish Smallpipes, Hammered Dulcimer, Concertinas, Mandolin, Fifes & a set of Congas ...... So where will you be? Better tell us about it now ... cause you might not remember, afterwards! :rolleyes: Wishing you all a very musical New Year & wonderful music throughout 2009. Cheers Dick |

I did it, I did it, I did it! Well, a little bit anyway. I at least got them started with "Auld Lang Syne", but then I had to put the concertina down and go and dance with them. I just messed about with a couple of tunes after that. They really liked "Le Canal en Octobre". Bliadhna Mhath Ur to you all. |

Congratulations! ;D That has to feel good. I had some nice duets with our Northumbrian Piper, in F, & I played along with quite a few of our ballads, so my Concertina got plenty of exercise. Just for you ishtar ....  ;D Cheers Dick |
