I work in the Scottish Borders, live on the edge of it ( in the same town that Ptarmigan comes from). My concertinas are nothing special. A Bastari ( one of the first that Free Reed sold a thousand years ago) and its nigh unplayable but its special to me. A Rosewood ended Lachenal in old pitch, nice to play at home when I am writing tunes. A Metal ended Lachenal that has been all over France playing French dance Music. It is great for playing in a band with pipes and Hurdy Gurdys in as it is very treble and cuts through them. I also have a guitar type and a luteback hurdy gurdies. I play either French Traditional dance music or my own tunes. I first started playing when Noah was a boy so my hands now are past their sell by date but I still enjoy playing
