Hello
Well, I've been playing Traditional Music, Irish & Scottish, for more than forty years now, since 1973, both in my native Scotland & in Ireland too, where I have lived almost half my life. As well as English & Anglo Concertinas, I also play the Fiddle, my main instrument, plus Hammered Dulcimer & Mandolin.
I picked up my first Concertina, a mahogany ended 30b Anglo ~ Lachenal, while living in Dublin in the late 1970s. In 1992, I bought a beautiful wee Jeffries 26b. This year I bought my first English Concertina, a beautiful Wheatstone Treble 22. However I recently sold my Jeffries & my model 22 & I now own a 62 key Wheatstone Aeola Baritone / Treble Concertina that was first sold on the 18th May 1923!

I hope you enjoy your time on this Forum and I look forward to reading your contributions to the discussions here, and getting to know you.
Cheers 'Ptarmigan'P.S. Now it's your turn. When you join up, please post a brief hello, with as little or as much as you would like to tell us about your interest in Concertinas, just to give other members an opportunity to say hello.
