While trawling for information on those musicians in Scotland who play the English Concertina, I learned of a few musicians who, I'm told, play the Anglo Concertina.
Do you know of any others?
Cheers Dick

I don't often get to play very much, because I am usually required to play mandolin, but I do play Anglo concertina, and I have played it in a few sessions around. Do I count?

I have just had it confirmed, so it gives me great pleasure to be able to add the name of, one of the finest Scottish musicians in living memory, to our list of Anglo Concertina players, the late & sorely missed ... Tony Cuffe

Most folks will know Kenny Hadden as a Flute & Concertina player, but, like many other Traditional musicians, he can turn his hand to a whole range of instruments.
I learned a great Banjo tune from his Banjo playing, many years ago & in about 1984, he came 3rd in the Concertina Competition at the Kirriemuir festival.
So I am delighted to be able to add his name to our list.
Cheers Dick

I play Anglo Concertina, either a Marcus G/D which I had made about 10 years ago to sing with with and more recently a Connor C/G so that I can play Irish and Scottish music. I was brought up in Fife and used to cycle out to various villages around Rosyth to play piano for Scottish Country Dancing Classes and dances during 1949 - 1952. A good learning and confidence building excercise!! My fingers are not so supple now but hope to send in some recordings soon. (To Irish Concertina and Concertina in Scotland). I joined the Irish Online Academy of Music and find the concertina classes very useful, and inexpensive. Alan Lightly Monmouthshire South Wales
